Withholding Tax Declaration

This is a tax withheld at source upon the payment of certain incomes such as interest, contractual fees, etc, and remitted to KRA on behalf of the recipient of the payment. It can either be a final tax or not, depending on the type of payment.

Due date

Any amount withheld, should be remitted to KRA on or before the 20th day of the following month, failure to which a late payment penalty of 5% is charged on the tax due.
