A taxpayer’s notice of objection is deemed validly lodged if; the notice of objection states precisely the grounds of objection, the amendments required to correct the decision, the reasons for the said amendments and the supporting documentation.

Also, the taxpayer must have paid the entire amount of tax due under the assessment, that is not in dispute, for the notice of objection to be treated as validly lodged.

In a case where the notice of objection is determined by the Commissioner to not being validly lodged by the taxpayer, a notification in writing shall be addressed to the taxpayer by the Commissioner
